Length- 42 inches from the end of the loop to the end of the elephant. The elephant is approximately 2 inches in diameter

SHIPPING POLICIES-
THE READY TO SHIP DATE ( 3-5 business days) Is not the shipping time. It is the estimated time needed from the date you place your order to my completion and ship out date.

SHIPPING DAY- all US shipments include tracking numbers. International first class mail orders only track’s your package while it is in the US unless it is shipped via 2-3 expedited rate. I use the United States Postal Service for my shipping. But I may on occasion use UPS or FedEx. Shipping delays due to unforeseen circumstances can happen on occasion. There is no way to know if this will occur.

RUSH/PRIORITY/EXPRESS-I am happy to provide rush mailing options for most of the items in my shops. A handling fee is included in the shipping cost. When you need an order shipped quickly. You are not only paying for the shipping but you are also paying to be moved to the front of the creation line.

SHIPPING ADDRESS-All items are shipped to the address on file when you place your order unless otherwise specified. Please check to make sure the correct shipping address is on your order. If your item is returned as undelivered I will happily ship it again. I ask that you please pay the cost of reshipping. I will create a shipping listing in my shop for purchase to re-ship. MY REFUND HASN’T ARRIVED YET. Your refund will be processed, and a credit will be applied to your credit card or original method of payment. MISC. GOOD TO KNOW- When the description reads "silver plated" in most cases it is silver plated over brass. Sterling silver is .925 sterling silver. Vintage beads are often silver plated over brass and heavily rubbed with blackening (a vintage compound) inside and out and may appear aged/worn/raggedy to complete the vintage effect. Some computer monitors may not show color accurately. What you see may vary slightly from the item's actual color. Please keep in mind that any slight difference or variation in a beads color, stain, or a designs creation only adds to the charm of owning a handmade piece. CUSTOM ORDERS- are always encouraged. When you request a custom or reserved listing we will either discuss via phone or email exactly what you would like created. CARING FOR YOUR SILVER PURCHASE-Help prevent tarnishing by storing your silver lockets and jewelry in a cool, dry place. Moisture in the air causes silver to tarnish. If necessary, you may want to invest in a silver polishing cloth.

MY MALA HAS A DIFFERENT COLOR THAN YOUR PHOTO- Unfortunately some computer monitors may not show colors accurately and may vary slightly from the item's actual color. Please keep in mind stained beads vary in shades. I do my best to have them all as close in color as possible. Sometimes when the wood is milled into beads it can have a slight variation as well. It is impossible to have them all the same. This slight difference only adds to the artistry of a handmade piece. Special note the ebony beads are prone to different shading per batch and can range in color from a brown to a black.
WHAT IF MY MALA BREAKS- Mala necklaces in my shop meet or exceed the suggested 30 lb test. If your mala breaks or you need it to be remade. Please contact me for pricing.

WHY ARE SOME OF YOUR BEADS WAXED? Some of the beads I use have been hand-waxed and are non-toxic. Using waxed beads allows for a smoother finish and richer color. Sizes, shapes and colors may vary with handcrafted items. I still use unwaxed beads for a few of my designs. Unwaxed beads are noted in the description.

WHAT KIND OF WOOD ARE YOUR BEADS MADE FROM? All my wood beads are Birch. Birch is known for its cleansing and detoxifying properties. The Birch tree has been referred to as the Giving Tree. Some beads have also been wax coated for a smooth finish, as mentioned previously. Bead shape and stain may vary when they are in the stain pots or when the wood is milled and shaped. Please keep in mind that any slight difference or variation in beads and stones color, stain, shape, or design only adds to the charm of owning a handmade piece. As with any handmade piece no two can be made exactly alike, but each one is like the photograph or as requested.

I WANT TO GIVE MY NEPHEW A MALA WHAT AGE IS BEST TO START MEDITATION? I started meditating without a mala when I was a little girl probably about age 8. Malas are not intended for children under the age of 13. As they can pose a choking hazard. If you feel your nephew is the appropriate age for this tool, give him a gift of tranquility and mindfulness.

WHY DO YOU SELL TWO DIFFERENT MALA STYLES? You will find that most of my traditional 108 bead style malas are approximately 22 inches in length (not including the tassel) with resting beads at 7 and 21. The T bar mala style came from a customer request and other customers liked it too. The body of the mala is the traditional 108 bead, but it has a long (t bar) piece that is 9 beads long. You can use the 9 bead section for your meditation practice consider it as part of the guru bead.

DO TASSEL COLORS HAVE A MEANING? Yes, some believe the tassel color is important. Each color is represented in the chart below
• Red—power and life force
• Orange—energy and understanding of life.
• Amber-understanding and knowledge
• Sage-compassion and love
• Light Blue-peace and wisdom
• Dark Blue-knowledge of the higher self, wisdom and spirituality
• Purple—transformation and divine energy

Like snowflakes, beads and stones will vary in color and shape, no two milled beads are exactly alike, bumps and dings occur, and this only adds to the joy of owning a handmade piece.
Malas may be a bit tight at first; they will relax with regular use.
I receive joy by creating malas to aid you in your practice in moving in rhythm with breathing, prayer, and mantra. A non-denotational prayer is recited during the creation of every
A mala is a dharma item and can be treated as such by keeping it in a safe place among your spiritual books or placed in a box or bag.
To complete the 108-bead mantra can take about 45 minutes depending on the speed of your recitation.
The 7 bead and 21 bead mantra take less time if you do not have the 45 minutes to dedicate.
